Stem Cells
I know this is a very controversial topic but I really think stem cells are awesome to help people. I read an article about a lady getting a new windpipe. Very Cool in my mind. How could you not be happy for someone that is "cured" with this technology. I think of bigger things like people needing new hearts or arms, etc. and I think it would be a great thing to help them with this science. Moral delimas, yup, there will be many. Guess we will have to work through them as we get there.
Something scarry for halloween
Here is an interesting article that should scare you. I am not a fan of either candidate but Obama sure scares me more than the McCain. This can be spun either way, and at best, we are going to be punished for the next four years with a sub-par person in the white house.
What really scares me is how our media is supposed to be unbiased in presenting news. Here we have another case of the media covering up information because it is damaging to them, or it may mean they loose funding, etc. The free press as organized is supposed to be unbiased and present all the data. The founding fathers are rolling over in their graves right now. Sad what the media has morphed into, a propaganda machine for rent. I think there are some famous dictators (one particular in Germany) that were pretty successful once they had control of the media.
Long Boards
Well, I finally finished the kids surprises. I was convinced by some neighbors that I needed to make the kids some long board skateboards while they were gone. They turned out really well. Gordon took me Saturday night to Provo canyon and we skated down the canyon. That was a lot of fun. After the kids play around on theirs a while, we will have to give it another try in the canyon with them. Should be fun.
It is a good day to be a 49ers fan
Last night Brett Farve was traded to the NY jets. I am a Jets fan as well so I was pretty happy to hear about this. 1) The niners do not have to try and beat Farve this year, 2) The Jets have an awesome QB now. What a great day it is!
Mobile Banking
Do any of you use mobile banking? Mobile banking is where you can access your account information from your phone, transfer funds, view your accounts, and sometimes pay bills. If you use mobile banking, let me know. I would like to know what you like and do not like about it.
The cousins have landed
Ok, they just left. I did not get much time to load pictures but will try to load them soon. It was great to see them again. We really miss seeing family. We did some cool stuff with them. We went and saw temple square and saw some sights. We also went to parks and swimming. Lots and lots of fun!
Local news
I thought it was interesting to see that Seagate was interested in the Intel share of IMFT. It will be interesting to see how things change if Intel backs out of IMFT, and if Seagate decides to enter the market.
Office battle
If you have a second, check this out. I think it will become one of those classic films ranked right up there with Dirty Harry. It was forwarded to me from a friend.
What to do with all that old equipment
Here are some fun things to do with that old equipment laying around... or if you are just frustrated with your current stuff. :)
A Decade Ago
Good to see something that you started a decade ago is still going strong. I remember when a few friends and I from Intel got this going over at the AF rec center. It is a good tradition and if I could make it and still had the knees to run, I would love to keep playing.
