Welcome to our humble little site on the internet. Our purpose here is to become the premier web portal for all things Jujitsu, Mountain Biking and RTS computer games.
Heh. Who am I kidding? Actually this site represents the random thoughts and interests of those of us who publish here. A very exclusive group if you ask me.
User Role Change
Last night at Jujitsu Sempai JJ told me that upon his return from the great mouse hunt he checked the web site to see if we had anything new. We've been slacking so we don't. He did notice something that I hadn't which is that we've got some comment spam. I killed it all today and made a change to the user roles.
I created a new user role called "approved users" which we can set for the people we know. Approved users will be able to comment on posts and can now create forum topics and a couple of other things. "Authenticated users", those who have gone through the automatic authentication only will be able to post comments, but their comments will go to the moderation queue.
I'll set up g33kboy and King of the Impossible as moderators for the comments. If anyone else wants to volunteer just let me know.
Thanks everyone
Crash.
Birthday
Crash asked if I would put a link to my wife's blog out here. Here you go. > flemingfab4.blogspot.com
Matt and Amy's Kata Conteste and Convention
Don't miss this event! It is always a lot of fun with great instructors. If you have not done a freestyle contest before, sign up. It is really a lot of fun. It puts a whole new dimension on what we are learning and how to use it.
Engineers
A friend sent me this today. It was pretty funny. There is another about cronicle cubicle syndrome. Seems most of us have that problem :)
Testing Newton's Laws
iPhone - soon to cure cancer as well!
With all they iPhone hype, I read this story and now I think I will need to give up my BlackBerry and make the switch. I think Crash will love these new add on tools as well since he is so handy with tools in his garage. BTW - thanks for coming and helping with the garage this weekend. Looks great. I will need to post a few pictures.
Google's Chrome Browser
Has anyone tried this browser? I may loade it today and see what it is like. Will be interesting to see what it featrues and how compatible it is with internet applications that exist in the work place.
Cars
So, this weekend we purchased a cheap car for the kids to drive. Now with one boy out of school and needing to work full-time and the youngest getting his drivers license and having a job and Mrs. Crash starting a new job next week we realized we're kind of short on wheels. So we're rearranging things a bit.
Which got me thinking...how many cars have I owned in my life. Mark from work tells me that I've purchased more cars in the past year than he's owned in his life-time. Well, here's the list.

Long Boards
Well, I finally finished the kids surprises. I was convinced by some neighbors that I needed to make the kids some long board skateboards while they were gone. They turned out really well. Gordon took me Saturday night to Provo canyon and we skated down the canyon. That was a lot of fun. After the kids play around on theirs a while, we will have to give it another try in the canyon with them. Should be fun.
